{7pm} Ceremonial “throwing of the first pitch of Wayzgoose” with Tony Caradonna, Manger of the St. Louis Typos Union Printers baseball team, the oldest continually operating team in St. Louis (founded 1908) – in the lot behind Central Print.

FRIDAY June 24

{9am-12pm} Tour of the Firecracker Press and bring your kids for a special bookmaking workshop with Esther K. Smith. Esther is a visiting artist from New York City who is also an author, bookmaker, and runs the letterpress shop, Purgatory Pie Press. SATURDAY June 25

{9am-12noon} Swap Meet at The Holiday Inn – Forest Park (8am set-up for vendors). Find type gems, reference books and print ephemera, presses, tools, and more!

{12noon-2pm} Lunch on your own.

{2pm-4pm} Auction at The Holiday Inn – Forest Park. If it didn’t sell at the swap it might show up, at bargain prices, during the Wayzgoose Auction. Stick around for great deals!

{6pm-9pm} Banquet at the Schlafly Tap Room ($35 + cash bar).

Guest Speakers:

Tony Caradonna, Manager of the St. Louis Typos Union Printers baseball team. Topic: printing and baseball in St. Louis – why it was a big deal.

Nathan Lilley, of Swift Printing (once housed in the building that now holds the Schlafly Tap Room). Topic: the history of Swift Printing – its impact on the industry.

{8pm-11pm} Hospitality at The Holiday Inn – Forest Park.
